Hey Product Hunt! I built GitInsight AI because I was frustrated with existing GitHub tools that just read README files and call it "analysis." As a developer, I needed real technical insights—architecture patterns, tech stack detection, code quality assessment—not marketing summaries. The problem: When exploring new repositories, I'd spend hours manually digging through code to understand the architecture, dependencies, and complexity. Existing tools would just paraphrase the README, which often doesn't reflect the actual codebase. The solution: GitInsight AI uses Z.AI GLM-4.7 to perform deep technical analysis. We analyze the actual code structure, detect tech stacks from dependencies and patterns, assess complexity, and provide actionable insights. Plus, you can chat with the AI about specific code questions, audit files for bugs/security issues, and get full project architecture reviews. The evolution: Started as a simple README parser, but quickly realized that wasn't enough. Added code analysis, then AI chat for interactive exploration, then code auditing. The bilingual interface (EN/RU) came from our international user base asking for it. What makes us different: We don't just summarize—we analyze. We don't just read—we understand.
