I built it because after Apple’s move to Apple Silicon, preparing install media for older macOS / OS X versions became unexpectedly annoying (Terminal errors, expired cert headaches, random incompatibilities). macUSB turns that whole workflow into a simple, guided app. What macUSB does: • Creates bootable USB installers from .dmg / .iso / .cdr and raw .app installers • Helps with legacy macOS / OS X use-cases on modern Macs • Includes PowerPC USB boot instructions (Open Firmware steps) for vintage hardware What’s new in the latest release: It now supports making USB installers even for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger (PowerPC) and adds clearer boot guidance for PPC Macs.
