Hi Product Hunt community! 👋 I’m the creator of AskAvatar, and I’m so excited to share it with you all today. As a streamer myself, I noticed that traditional alerts (like a simple sound or pop-up) started to feel a bit static and repetitive. I wanted to create something that gave the viewer a more interactive feeling with what's happening on screen. AskAvatar uses AI to give your stream alerts a literal voice and personality. Whether it’s a donation, a sub, a raid, or even a merch purchase, your avatar reacts LIVE with unique responses based on traits you define. Some features I’m particularly proud of: Custom Personalities: Use our 13 pre-built characters or design your own from scratch by uploading your own art. Event Triggers: Set specific "thresholds" so your avatar reacts differently to a massive donation versus a new follower—including temporarily swapping out the avatar images for deeper immersion. Local AI Power: It uses Ollama to handle AI responses and voice generation. This keeps things flexible and powerful without relying on a paid subscription, allowing indie streamers to get that high-quality feel without another monthly outgoing. VTuber Mode: For days you want to engage with your audience but aren't "camera-ready," AskAvatar lets you take the place of your PNG avatar.
