I built RemoteMaid because I run a remote cleaning business myself. As we grew, onboarding subcontractors became a mess—chasing W-9s, COIs, IDs, and agreements across email, texts, and spreadsheets. Existing tools were either too generic or not built for how cleaning businesses actually operate. RemoteMaid started as a solution to my own problem: one simple system to onboard cleaners remotely, stay compliant, and stop the back-and-forth. After using it internally, I realized other cleaning owners were dealing with the same pain—so I turned it into a product.
