Most language apps teach preset phrases you rarely use. LanguageBank starts from your context instead. You speak what you’re about to do, like going to a shop or a government office, and it generates the most common, practical sentences people actually say. Sentences are automatically organised and color-coded across languages to help you recognise structure and build pattern memory over time. Support: English, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.

I'm a Product Designer living in Tokyo.
I built LanguageBank because I was keeping a growing list of Japanese sentences in my Notes app. Real sentences I needed in daily life, picked up from my language lesson or by prompting ChatGPT with written instructions and context. Over time, the list became too long to be useful, and generating new sentences meant repeating the same ChatGPT workflow and manual cleanup.
I wanted something faster and more natural: say the context, get usable sentences, store them properly, and learn visually through color-coded patterns. I now use it daily alongside my usual language lessons, and find it a pretty handy toolkit to have in hand.
This app is available for download on Apple Appstore, and is supporting English 🇺🇸, Japanese 🇯🇵, Mandarin 🇨🇳, Korean 🇰🇷, Spanish 🇪🇸, French 🇫🇷, German 🇩🇪, Italian 🇮🇹, and Portuguese 🇵🇹.
