Pick any element, grab context for AI coding assistants

Peksy is a free Chrome extension that captures DOM element context for AI coding assistants. How it works: 1. Hold Cmd+Shift (or Ctrl+Shift) and hover over any element 2. Click to select - context is instantly copied to clipboard 3. Paste into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor What you get: • HTML structure with classes and attributes • Parent element context for better AI understanding Bonus: Press Ctrl+Shift+3 to visualize your page's DOM in 3D - great for debugging z-index and stacking issues.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Peksy because I got tired of manually copying HTML and inspecting styles every time I asked Claude or ChatGPT to help fix a CSS bug. The workflow is dead simple: hold a shortcut, click an element, paste into your AI. Done. A few things I'm proud of: - React & Vue support: automatically detects component names and props - 3D DOM view: visualize your page hierarchy, super useful for z-index debugging - Zero config: works out of the box on any website Would love to hear what other context would be useful to capture. Source maps? Accessibility info? Let me know!
