When I was learning to code, I faced this issue that I would learn frameworks, programming languages, and tools, and build some basic projects using them. But I was never confident when someone asked how much I really knew a framework or technology. I even felt unsure when rating myself. However, when I took real-world scenario-based quizzes on the technologies I had learned, I became much more confident and knew exactly what I could do. Later, when I started applying for jobs, I submitted my resume to many positions but didn’t get any interview calls. Companies didn’t even give me a chance to prove myself, just judging me based on my lack of experience. Being rejected repeatedly by ATS systems and HR teams hurt a lot. It made me think that companies want experienced people, but how can someone gain experience if no one gives them an opportunity? After almost nine months, one company finally gave me a chance based on my skillset for a 7-day trial. I got hired as an intern, which made me realize how broken the system is. Evaluating programmers solely on resumes and experience doesn’t make sense. There should be a standard technical test for each role so that anyone who meets the merit can get a chance to prove themselves, regardless of age or experience. This is what drives me to build QuizzViz. It helps companies hire developers faster and helps developers honestly evaluate their skills.
