Hi everyone, I’m Lauren, founder of Verity AI. I started building Verity after running a fashion resale marketplace and seeing firsthand how quickly counterfeits were overwhelming the industry. Brands were losing trust. Marketplaces were getting hit with fraud. Customers were getting burned. And every “solution” required expensive experts, hardware, or slow manual checks. With AI accelerating and agentic commerce emerging, it became clear: we needed a way to authenticate products instantly, at scale, from just an image. So we built Verity, an AI engine that can verify the authenticity of fashion items in seconds. No hardware, no friction, and no specialist required. It’s already being used by marketplaces, consignment stores, and returns platforms to stop counterfeits and returns fraud before it becomes a customer or brand problem. What surprised us most while building this: once you remove the friction, trust becomes a growth driver - higher conversions, lower returns, and happier buyers. Verity started as a solution to a problem in my own business. It’s now becoming the trust layer for modern commerce.
