VocalSense listens to your voice and reflects the emotions it detects in real time. Fully on-device and private, it helps you understand yourself better and prompts reflection after each session.
I originally built VocalSense as a final project for my iOS class. I could have gone the simple route and made another to-do app, but I wanted to challenge myself and create something more meaningful.
I’ve always been observant, and my girlfriend would joke that I could read her mind just by listening to how she spoke. That gave me the idea that an app could reflect emotions from someone’s voice. It was ambitious, but I saw it as a great learning opportunity.
Now I want to get feedback from the public and validate the idea to see how it resonates with others.
