My 3 university friends and I built Hey Menu while traveling together, solving a problem we faced constantly - not understanding restaurant menus when exploring new countries or trying ethnic restaurants.
The "aha moment" came when we were in a Japanese restaurant, struggling with the menu, and realized our phones' cameras + AI could solve this instantly. But we wanted more than just translation - we wanted to know if dishes fit our dietary needs, their nutritional content, and what they actually looked like.

Great idea, more languages coming in the future? This might be very useful outside of the most common ones so it might make sense to get many of the "popular destination/uncommon language" ones.
