I want to build alongside people trying to learn a new language, so I can learn and make it work very effectively for them all. This is not even a company, I care deeply about this problem, I struggled myself and saw thousands of students at my school fail at learning French/English and hundreds of millions of students & professional worldwide going through the same struggles, why? I want to change that and I want to do it with you. I built this app as a foundation to be something accessible by everyone that actually works and see hundreds of millions of people around the world learning a new language using Prendi and accomplish their dreams. I started coding at 14. my family couldn't afford me college and wanted to study at Harvard. I am from West Africa and knew zero English. I struggled a lot until I took 1 year to study human brain (cognitive science), how our brain receives, processes and retains information and compared to how apps like Duolingo is built, I can say it's pretty ineffective. I taught myself English and reached C1 level less than a year. It opened so many opportunities: - got my first job as mobile developer at age 16 - at 17, I joined international company and working on a mobile app with over 15M+ downloads - at 18, joined a startup from Florida, built and launched AI basketball recruitment app and helped founder raise $250K pre-seed - at age 20, I received an offer to work as senior mobile dev - at 21, already worked for 5+ startups from 5+ countries. it all happened because of English and I want to create an app where people can learn a language in their field of work/interest, very effectively and allow them to create opportunities for themselves and accomplish their goals.
