As a developer, one of the most tedious and time-consuming parts of any new project for me was creating good, realistic mock data. Manually writing JSON files is boring, and the data often ends up looking fake ("name": "Test User 1"). I knew there had to be a better way. That's why I built Schema.ai—a simple, free tool designed to automate this entire process using AI. You just paste in your schema, and it generates a rich, schema-compliant JSON dataset in seconds. My goal was to build a tool I would genuinely use myself, focusing on a few key features: AI-Powered Generation: It uses the Google Gemini API to create context-aware and realistic data, not just random strings and numbers. This means product descriptions sound like product descriptions, and user profiles look authentic. Real-Time Streaming: To avoid long waits, the data is streamed directly to your browser as it's generated. You get immediate feedback without having to wait for the full request to finish. Consistent Data Control: For practical testing, you can specify certain fields (like a userId or doctorName) that need to remain the same across all generated records.
