I built Koro because I wanted a voice model that feels natural and runs fully on mobile devices. For me, this is one of the first times that speech synthesis sounds good enough to actually enjoy as an audiobook or podcast, without the need to pay for external services.
What’s unique here is the combination of privacy, unlimited usage, and voice customization, all wrapped in a polished app that works completely offline. No subscriptions, no hidden limits, just your text turned into speech.
