Remember Secret? The controversial anonymous app made headlines in 2015 but despite its initial hockey stick growth, it eventually shut down returning the remains of its $35m in venture funding.

Yesterday, Secret cofounder and Product Hunt LIVE guest, David Byttow, casually announced Secret's coming back. "Watch this space," David says.

Email's been in the news quite a bit lately (#election2016), fitting timing for today's hot new app launch.

Google just dropped a big update to the widely used Gmail app, now with a fresher look and most importantly, "Undo Send" functionality to save you from future embarrassment. 🙈

RIP Vine. Last week Twitter announced that the popular 6-second video app that loop indefinitely will be shutting down early next year. A sad day for the internet, but thankfully we have alternatives.

On the same day, the founders of Vine launched a new app! Hype is ridiculous, fun, and a totally new take on live video. Rus & Colin hit lightening in a bottle with Vine four years ago. Could Hype be the new thing that finally takes live video streaming mainstream? 🤔

P.S. Giphy built a tool that preserves all your Vines as GIFs in 1 click. 💕
