Getting a life time subscription for Brain.fm is one of the best long term investments I've ever made. I mostly use it for focus and sometimes for sleep. It's great for long focused sessions of work. I usually set it to 2 hours. Even now, I'm on a break from a two hour coding session at work.

Great music suggestions. Really works for me.

Hidden gem. I found it early on and became a "lifer." <- the only app I've ever done that with. Sleep can be set for 6 hours, 8 hours, or infinite. There's also a 15 minute and 30 minute "break" choice in the "relax" feature. Very well thought out and does exactly what you expect it to do. (Note: I have not tried the other apps recommended)

Whether you're trying to focus and get some work done, you need to chill out and relax, or you want something soothing to help you drift off to sleep, Brain.fm has tunes that can help you out. The compositions are completely original, so don't expect to hear songs you know, but they do work like a charm.
The National
Brain.fm delivers a continuous loop of computer-generated music to help you work, relax, read or sleep. But this reviewer found it more of a turn off than a motivator.

Especially useful in times when work deadlines are mounting up. It's super important to remember to take a break, breathe and put your health first above all else and Calm helps with this. Plenty of modes to use for every situation, tons of calming sounds and it helps, genuinely helps improve your sleep.

Best Meditation-App I've tried so far. Cheaper then Headspace and I love the background music.

For me, the name caught my attention. I started using Calm in 2017 when I came across it's Apple app of the year 2017 promotions. Since then I've been glued to using calm. What hooked me to it is its UI and a wide range of ambient music choices.

Album exclusives are nothing new in the age of Tidal, of course. But Moby's latest is taking a kind of circuitous route to the world's mobile devices. The electronic artist has released his latest, Long Ambients 2, as an exclusive through the Calm meditation app. The album dropped over the we...
