Anchor does a nice job with allowing you to create podcasts directly from your phone with some great engagement features. They also allow you to convert your existing podcasts from SoundCloud, RSS, etc., to make the switch easier (see https://anchor.fm/switch). You can even publish Anchor podcasts outside the app to Apple and Google.

Agree with Kunal! Anchor's mobile tools are great. The only downside is that (as of yet) you can only add clips from an external file from the desktop version, and all podcasts are cut into smaller Snapchat story-like chunks. I'd recommend it more for shorter podcasts than longform conversation podcasts.

Bumpers is designed as a tool and social network for creating and sharing audio shows, similar to Anchor, but it might be perfect for your use case. You can visualize and highlight specific moments in the recording, to create a "table of contents"/bookmark you can jump to.

Episode #5 of the Perseverance Podcast features my interview with Mark Zeh. Mark is a design and innovation consultant that I've had the pleasure to know and work with in several capacities over my career. I first heard of Mark in the 1990's. I was a fan of bikes from my youth.

I am dying right now! Another amazing app has hit the scene and I can not wait to use this in the classroom! From the makers of Recap, here's something new I think is worth checking out! It's called Synth - Interactive podcasts in byte-size increments.

Anchor for iPad is a powerful tool to edit, share, and broadcast your new podcast directly on iOS. Supports all Lightning-enabled microphones too. 🎙️

Engadget
The app is intended to make full use of the iPad's functionality, enabling users to record, produce and edit a podcast episode to completion with just the tablet alone, if need be: It works with microphones through the lightning port, or users can stick with the internal one in a pinch.
Macstories
If you've ever used Anchor to make a podcast, you know just how easy it is. That ease of use, however, has historically meant sacrificing any access to editing tools that most podcasters need. Today that changes, however, as Anchor is introducing basic editing tools as part of the debut of its iPad app.
