Curious, what do you like about @Hunted Space over the native Product Hunt Launch Day dashboards? Anything we can build to make the hunter/maker launch day smoother?

What AI code assistant should I invest my time in? @Cursor? @Claude Code? @opencode? Something else? I can download and try all of them. There are around 4,931 AI code editors out there, and I’ve tried about 27% of them. But trying a product for a day or two doesn’t tell the full story. Living with it for months or years does. I started using Cursor almost 2 years now. Then I switched to...

Hi everyone, Product Hunt CTO here. Launches are ranked by points, but not every upvote is worth the same number of points. A few tips: Encourage your community members to apply for verification. Verified users’ votes tend to carry more weight. Contribute meaningfully to the community. Thoughtful comments and engaging discussions make your votes count for more. Low-effort comments and AI slop...

Copilot CLI is now in public preview. Give the copilot team feedback on how it compares to Claude Code and Codex CLIs.

Github Copilot CLICopilot's response to Claude Code and Codex CLI
Copilot CLI is GitHub’s terminal-based coding agent. It accepts instructions, edits files, runs commands, and connects to MCP servers. Defaults to Claude Sonnet 4 but can switch to other models. Usage is billed via Copilot plans.

@Claude Code terminal in @Cursor. Most of my prompts are to Claude Code. Cursor is really nice for tab complete. Claude Code has had reliability issues recently. It's really nice to be able to quickly switch to prompting Cursor when Claude Code is down. Another person on our team uses @opencode instead of Claude Code, and I hear great things. I also hear that @Github Copilot has gotten quite a...

Thanks for the AMA, @alokedesai! I am incredibly excited about Warp. A couple questions: how do you think about the lethal trifecta? how do you think about when to use a SOTA model API vs when to host + train your own models?

Love this thread. And I have really enjoyed using @Weave at Product Hunt. This is probably a very common thought, but I'll raise it anyways. From the perspective of an engineer: sales has clear outcomes. Was the contract signed? How big was the contract? Did the customer renew next year. Engineering is much more nuanced. Defining a successful PR is tricky. Is code churn bad? Maybe... It could...

We absolutely love @Hex at Product Hunt. We moved off Periscope a couple years ago and were immediately blown away by Hex. But, until recently, I felt a big difference between modern AI IDEs like @Cursor and Hex. I have come to rely heavily on Cursor's AI and agent features. It's amazing to see Hex close this gap. My view of the future of technical work is it will be a combination of asking...

Chiming in. Thanks for the post @rohanrecommends. @borja_diazroig, no plans to revamp Coming Soon. This was a very old surface area that was quite buggy. And, per @kate_ramakaieva, comment: rallying an audience twice is rough. We are very much thinking of alternatives to Coming Soon!

@nathansobo Zed is so slick! New window with a separate lllm chatbox is such a killer feature. As a very serious Rust shop, how do you feel about the Rust ecosystem/libraries/frameworks? Do you find yourselves on the bleeding edge of what Rust frameworks support? Do you spend a bunch of time building and maintaining open source libraries?

As a final note, I seem to only take photos of mixed breeds.

Also, minor feedback, but text in textboxes (Friend's Name, Notes) is hard to read in Dark Mode.

Hey @cynthiachen, saw this on the leaderboard a few days ago! Just downloaded the app. I love how slick and minimal it is. But can I see a feed of photos others are taking? The photos can be anonymous. And users can opt in/out of whether their photos are public. Reasons for request: I love photos of cute dogs. I'll learn what breeds look like. I'll learn which breeds are rare vs common.

Congrats! Mind pasting a link to a page that shows the leaderboard that you won? I don't see a mention of Sereda in the link you included: https://hackernoon.com/startups-of-the-year-2024-celebrating-the-top-cities-driving-innovation
