During authentication the app asks for number authentication.

You can add any live cell phone number to receive OTP.

Then Hedwig will sent the message from Hedwig server and you can add signature in your message for the recipient to know the sender of this text. No guessing is required.

Remove the Signature and you are set to ping your crush/ Ex with anonymous text.
