Afshana Diya- Digital Marketing Strategist
One of the best tools that found from PH and using ever since. :D

It’s replaced my browser for work. All apps I need, I can easily access in one place.
Danny de Vries- Web Developer
Was using Franz for a long time but Station has way more integrations.

We spend nearly ⅓ of our life online to get work done. Writing emails, editing spreadsheets, looking through analytics data, taking minutes - most of the work we achieve each and every day takes place in our trusty old Chrome, Firefox or Safari (and if you are a digital hipster, Internet Explorer).

Introducing Station's new Notification Center. Notifications came to life with an honorable aim in mind: telling users something new just happened. The sad truth is they have become hacks designed to steal our attention rather than meaningful insights into our work. We can receive up to one notification every 4 minutes.

Facebook Messenger

Facebook's standalone Messenger for the web

Nick Abouzeid- Words at Product Hunt ✌️
Easy to use, and the event feature works as an efficient way to remind people of when/where they should be at all times (if you go through the trouble of setting them up)!
Michael Deng- Software Developer
I never get work messages past my bedtime, but sometimes I get messages from friends.
Alec Jones- 15-years-old
Hey, they don't seem to have Facebook Groups on PH - but that is what I would recommend. It isn't the prettiest, but it is definitely reliable, easy, and allows anyone to join.

Wire

Great conversations. Built for mobile, tablets, & desktop.

Mathias Elmose- The Chewbacca of EdTech
Secure with video chat and screen share. Also I find the drawing on pictures very useful for feedback on design.
Doney den Ouden- Product Designer
Wire is open source and at least as secure as Signal, but actually usable thanks to its beautiful design and great features. You can send all kinds of file formats, temporary messages, GIFs, pings (think Buzzers from the MSN days), sketches, and audio messages with voice filters. It even had encrypted video calls before Signal. The app is available for all m… See more

Advantages of wire over signal, you ask? - sending pics and videos in a group chat doesn't take forever - group chats actually work without having to deal with "bad encrypted messages" and weird errors that make my relatives and friends think I'm a tinfoil hat weirdo - development cycle is fast, thanks to a larger number of developers - group calls - the FB… See more

Messenger Lite is a slimmed down version of Messenger that offers the core features of Messenger for markets with slower than average internet speeds and a prevalence of basic Android smartphones.

The Verge
Earlier today I published an article about Facebook Messenger's new, somewhat improved home screen. But despite the company's attempt at some cleanup, I came away with the same feeling I've had for months: Messenger has transformed into a bloated mess. Commenters on that story agree, and so does pretty much everyone I've asked here at Vox Media's New York of… See more

Squirrel

A topic-based group chat app from Yahoo

Squirrel is a chat app from Yahoo. Organize groups and chats the way you want, so you can keep up without getting lost in the noise. Squirrel is invite only for now. Ask a friend with the app to invite you to a group!

Danny Espinoza- Founder @looksyvideo
Maybe too early too tell, but Squirrel smartly focuses on the spontaneity of group chat, keeping things light and fun. And trying to make group conversations engaging is not a bad hill to die on.

NewsBTC
"Bettergram... isn't it named Telegram?" Was the first thought that popped into my mind as I saw a tweet bringing attention to a newfangled messaging application. But don't get me wrong, Bettergram is so much more than just a medium of communication aimed at crypto enthusiasts, or at least in my eyes it is.
