Pavan Sethi- building things.
Agree. No better people to give recommendations than your friends. I've found the best podcasts just by checking our what other people are listening to on the Breaker feed.
Erik Berlin- Maker, Breaker
Instead of recommending a specific podcast, I’d recommend connecting your Facebook and Twitter accounts to Breaker and following all your friends. Then you’ll be able to see what they like as they listen and get one-to-one recommendations that you can play right away!

Love Breaker! I recommend it to all my friends, as it has a beautiful UI and allows you to be in sync with what your friends are listening to! My favorite podcasts to listen to are hidden brain, how I built this, 99% Invisible, the moth, ycombinator, revisionist history and ted talks daily!

Podcast listeners are traditionally creatures of habit when it comes to the app of choice to access all their favorite shows. Thus, whenever a new gateway to podcasts comes along, it often cops the 'not as good as Overcast' treatment and is passed into oblivion.

Anchor 2.0

Make audio Stories, with voice, music, clips, and call-ins

Kunal Bhatia- Co-founder & Design Lead @SlidesUp
Anchor does a nice job with allowing you to create podcasts directly from your phone with some great engagement features. They also allow you to convert your existing podcasts from SoundCloud, RSS, etc., to make the switch easier (see https://anchor.fm/switch). You can even publish Anchor podcasts outside the app to Apple and Google.
Leigh Cooper- I make videos on the internet!
Agree with Kunal! Anchor's mobile tools are great. The only downside is that (as of yet) you can only add clips from an external file from the desktop version, and all podcasts are cut into smaller Snapchat story-like chunks. I'd recommend it more for shorter podcasts than longform conversation podcasts.
Kira Pernt- SEO Specialist
I agree with Leigh. Podcasts are cut into smaller Snapchat story-like chunks, but it is so popular today. For short podcasts it is more actually.

So user friendly and just FUN.
Shaan Puri- ceo, Monkey Inferno
Love this app. It's simple, easy to use, creative, fun... I respect it but I never use it.
Ryan Hoover- Founder, Product Hunt
Bumpers is designed as a tool and social network for creating and sharing audio shows, similar to Anchor, but it might be perfect for your use case. You can visualize and highlight specific moments in the recording, to create a "table of contents"/bookmark you can jump to.

60dB

Today's best short audio stories

LukeFernandez
60db provides personalized, short-form (1-4m) audio news recaps and stories. Give it a try on your next commute to/from work. Short form content providers like Twitter, Email newsletters, etc are great, but I can't consume them when I need to be hands-free (ie commuting to and from work). Podcasts are great too, but the content is often too long to consume… See more
