How do you motivate your team during challenging times?

At the early stages of a startup, especially when we do not see much traction after large amounts of work, it is really hard to keep the team motivated for the next pivots. Do you have tactics to keep the team motivated and don't give up?

I think we just have to have a positive mindset/attitude and realize that not everything will work out right away. If the team has clear goals, we have to be focused on the end result

I only work with my cofounder currently, but in the past I've managed teams as large as 60 volunteers. It's important to be real with your team, have people collaborate to come up with a plan forward, keep them in the loop with why you had to pivot. Are you inspired by your product? "Broadcast" your inspiration to the team constantly, show them the big picture - where you gonna be in months if you do the hard work today. Do that in person and in front of all of them - the crowd effect will help you to spread the inspiration effectively.

Praise them for their work and efforts, make sure they are being recognized. Our company uses a tool named BRAVO! to appreciate the efforts of other teammates and they even get rewards out of that.

We just tend to have positive mindset and believe in ourselves and what we are doing. Also we already know that nothing good comes easily!

We just think about our goals, we do not need an additional motivation!
