I have a simple methodology for learning new technology: I know tech well enough to explain it, even if others may need more time or resources for deeper learning. This led me to write introductory books early in my career. I wrote my first book on Perl and CGI for web development at 26. Since then, I've written several more on web programming, Linux, security, optimization, and related topics. Since the early days of the web, I've invested heavily in open-source platforms like Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL, and Perl, building multiple web application companies. My current company, EVOKNOW, Inc., established in 2002, focuses on providing web-based business process management for multinationals globally.
