Would you rather invest in a clean UIUX design system that you'll actually use with your own creative flair, OR one which has 1000s of components to pick from?

Depends on what I'm building. If I want to build a landing page, I would use a template or else for a custom system, I would build from scratch.

When it comes to a UI design, What I do is - I go do a research on the product. Research means I go find some other similar designs to get inspired and get an idea on what my client is missing from other competitors or what can my client have than his competitor. Then I go search for a component kit or build it from Scratch. (Pro Tip - You can access free component library within design tools like Figma itself 😉)
