How can you imagine using GPT-4o to improve your work?

ICYMI: https://openai.com/index/hello-g... This upgrade – I do not know if the right word for describing is scary or amazing, but definitely something that is out of my comprehension. What can you imagine to do with this model in your work? Personally, I am amazed by visual outputs – many variations like photo to caricature, brand placement to objects etc. This is possibly something that could help me to better reflect on some thoughts. Cause visuals are better for "processing" – we read pictures faster than any text.

To suggest improvements and find bugs in my code. Didn't really try this (with earlier versions) until now, but I suppose I should. It's understanding seems to be really remarkable already.

@konrad_sx wow, you haven't been using AI for coding at all? Lack of trust? :D

@busmark_w_nika I surely wouldn't use code generated by AI that I don't completely understand, insofar it's lack of trust. But there'd be no trust issue if I'd use it to find bugs and suggest improvements of course. It's just that I assume it will take some time to learn using it efficiently and I didn't take this time yet. Did you try coding with AI?

@konrad_sx you have the advantage that you understand coding. I tried to create some scripts that didn't work at all and I was like: WTF is this? And what does this mean? :D Coding the whole project with chatGPT makes sense when you know how the code works and when you know/can detect what is wrong/what is good.

@busmark_w_nika You're surely right that trying to code with AI is not a good idea when you don't really understand coding. If you want to learn programming, do it systematically with a good book and a simple language (e.g. Python). Will be easier and faster than you may think :)

I guess for real-time translations during meetings. Maybe for visual search for problems. For coding or debugging, GPT-4 seems to be the better option.

Help with coding mainly. It’s not as efficient for lower level coding but it seems way better for upper level
