LinkedIn Premium is not cheap. How do you justify paying for it?

Hey Jonni, yes I do.

@abhishek_ux What do you use it for? How do you justify its cost?
Marie-Philippe Leblanc
I don’t 😉

My linkedin account was temporarily restricted and i don't know why
@feichen_ @rupal_saini This is very insightful Rupal. What is a safe connection rate threshold?
Marvin Mändle
I use the free version. It's super expensive for me and I don't use it for sales, so I get all I need from the free version.

I use the free version. though I receive messages like " Your profile is gaining traction, and people have been looking you up. See who they are with a free month of LinkedIn Premium." But I haven't tried that yet maybe in near future
Share
@umar_saleem I don't see that as a strong incentive to upgrade. However, needing to connect to many people with a custom message could push people to Premium
Natalia Toth
I do, but only because my company is paying for that - although to be honest, I don't see many advantages compared with the free version.

@natalia_toth The free version only gives you 5 or 10 free custom messages (when you're connecting with someone new) per month. This is very limiting!
Natalia Toth
@jgani yes, but in my experience, custom messages don't have a big impact on the acceptance rate. My invites without an intro message get accepted anyway

No. Considered but really do not know what would be benefit for me rn.

@busmark_w_nika The free version only provides either 5 or 10 free custom message per month when you're connecting with someone new. They lowered this dramatically recently.

Business Marketing with Nika
@jgani well, this is not something I use but it is true that when I wanted to reach out to certain people, my access to message them was blocked (not because of the limitation of the number of messages) but to message them overall. In that case, I would consider it.
Elena Tsemirava
I do it to have the ability to send connection invitations.

I do! it's good for cold outreach.

Julia Engelsmann
I just use the free version
Share
@julia_engelsmann Do you need to write a custom message when connecting? The free version is severely limited...
Graham Lipsman
If I was doing more cold sales work I'd get it in a heartbeat. Since I'm mostly focusing on content marketing at the moment I'm not using it—Premium doesn't seem to boost your reach at all.
Share
@glipsman Interesting. This makes it different from Twitter, which claims that the blue tick gives you a better reach.
Toni Bruno
Hi Jonni: I did once, but I didn't find it offered much for the price.
Share
@tonib Hey Toni. LinkedIn massively limits its free version now, so there's more (forced) reasons to upgrade these days.

Toni Bruno
@jgani Yes, you're right. I actually made comment to someone the other day that it seems they no longer show you "Who's viewed your profile" when it used to be they only hid the Premium Members. :/
Mark Lemuel M
I don't. Infact, I got my leads on linkedin groups which is very useful!

Nope. The free version serves my purposes.
Daniel Burns
Not really. I was considering at one point, but I didn't really find too much of a value. How about you?
