Thanks for the hunt Bram! I'd love to get some feedback, I'm here to answer questions.
BTW don't forget to check out the Producthunt integration of course! :)

@mdekuijper This reminds me of Goodbits.io ♥️ which is what I currently use for Startup Letters. This seems more geared towards individuals though? Any plans for integrating with Mailchimp in a similar way to Goodbits?
EDIT: I cannot seem to find any way to import a current list? Is CSV import or similar on the roadmap? :)

@kjemperud Hey Thomas, thanks for your feedback. Right now, there's no import yet but I already got a lot of people asking for the same thing, so we'll make sure to add it asap. Of course integration with Mailchimp is something that is on the roadmap as well.
Kalvir Sandhu — Founder, Goodbits.io
Thanks for the mention @kjemperud, we all at Goodbits love you too!
@mdekuijper - great product, love the design. I would love to know where your project is going and see if you'd like to work together? I'm also happy to tell you what's going on at Goodbits.

This is an awesome lightweight tool if you're curating a weekly digest. Grab content from Twitter, Facebook, Slack, Google Chrome & Product Hunt and add it to your newsletter in a whip!
Nice side-project from @mdekuijper!

Custom domains coming soon?

@erictwillis That's a great idea, didn't think of that yet. Will put it on our list.
Jose Casanova — Full Stack Entrepreneur
@erictwillis Great idea, a quick work around this can be to forward your domain while masking the new URL.
Ross Simmonds — GetCrate.co + Hustle & Grind
Love this. Looking forward to using this. I was originally going to sign up with thecurated.co but this seems like a better fit for my budget.
Kevin Henry — CEO, Accountable
Beta tested Revue and what makes it stand out is how effortlessly clean the design is for our newsletters (not surprising coming from a great designer like @mdekuijper).
Tera ∞ Kristen — Community Manager
I love the simplicity of the formatting options (header, image, link) and the profile page is very nice. But, in order for me to create a newsletter I like, I will still have to do quite a bit of work uploading images and writing out link descriptions. This is why Goodbits.io is used right now, it scrapes images and descriptions from links automatically.
Without the Mailchimp (or other email provider) integration, I feel like this is aimed at people who are just beginning to send personal curated emails, not people who have already built a list. Or is this a way to collect and format content for sending in a different email provider?

@terakristen Hey Tera, thanks for your feedback. You're right, it can be a lot of work still. If you use the Chrome Plugin it does however make it a lot simpler.
We're working hard on the Mailchimp integration, so just hang in there :)

@JoshMuccio invited @mdekuijper and myself to join him for his daily podcast called The #DailyHunt - Martijn talks about Revue and all the other (cool) stuff he did/does! You can listen to it right here: https://soundcloud.com/daily-hun...

Would be awesome if I could hook this up to an API or RSS feed to automatically pull top posts from my site.
Down with MailChimp!

@jlejuwaan Mailchimp is high on the feature list. I'll add API and blog. Thanks!
Nick Frost — Editor & Marketing @ Mattermark
@mdekuijper can't wait for this. I'll have weekly newsletters in multiple categories. Would even pay a monthly subscription for this.
Sacha Greif — Designer, Sidebar
@jlejuwaan the newsletter isn't quite as pretty (yet!), but Telescope can do exactly that: http://www.telesc.pe/ (it does use MailChimp though…)
M
Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@thinker @jlejuwaan Hey guys, I know it has been a while, but we've released newer versions in the last couple of months. Adding content via RSS and MailChimp import are now both available. Thanks!
Joe Anderson — Design @Realm
How do I pay for this/how wilI I be paying for this?
M
Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@anderson760 Good question. Any ideas about that? Because we didn't figure it out yet :) hi@getrevue.co
@anderson760 @getrevue @mdekuijper Similar to Mailchimp etc and first 2000 subscribers free, then pay thereafter?
Perhaps users could make money from the content they curate? i.e. similar to the YouTube Partners programme

@getrevue @mdekuijper @thatgirl_chloe agreed, something like this, ability to remove branding (will be purchased immediately by companies)

@mdekuijper, on first glance, I really like the simple and clean design. Well done! However, as I tried to play around with it, I felt a little lost and not know what to do. I guess I could play around more to figure out how things work, but my first instinct was to search for help or a guide and I couldn't find it. It got me a little annoyed. Perhaps a guide or walk through will be great :)
M
Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@alfred_lua Hey Alfred, thanks for the feedback, very valuable. Good idea, I'll see how I can add some guidance on how to start.
Pretty slick! Made my first Revue here: http://www.getrevue.co/profile/t... <-- includes some juicy links for entrepreneurs! Subscribe ;)
Some feedback, I agree with Alfred above. I think there does need to be a help guide because at first I couldn't find my unique URL. Also I think it would be good to have a copy sent to my inbox, be able to customise the heading of the newsletter and move the sections around, for example drag a picture or headline to the top of the newsletter.

@thatgirl_chloe Hey Chloe, thanks for your feedback. Great Revue you made there! :)
I agree that it can be a little confusing on some points, I'll work on that. About being able to drag a picture or headline, that is already possible. Just hover an item and a handle will show up on the left side of it.
Thanks!

This looks great, I will give this a try. Very impressed and interested with the integration features; especially ProductHunt being included:)

@robertwilliger What is a product without Producthunt integration ;)
M
Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@robertwilliger I'd really love to hear what other services you'd like to see integrated
Mohit Mamoria — Founder, Horntell
I needed this so much for my weekly newsletter. I had been over-exploiting "bookmarks manager" for this until now.
Paul Musters — co-founder Fortify, Head coach Fitmo
Amazing, works in seconds and looks great. Thanks for developing this great tool @mdekuijper. I'm going to use it immediately and let you hear my feedback.

In the app, my Product Hunt votes don't seem up to date, and it says "Here are your 20 last upvotes" but only shows five from a day or two ago...

Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@dshan Ai, have to dive into that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
M
Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@dshan Did you already sync before? And did you add some to your digest already before?
Thomas K. Running — Nomad, Teleport
@dshan @mdekuijper I had the same issue. Tried syncing. I think I had some stuff added to my digest before I connected PH.
M
Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@dshan @kjemperud I think I solved it. If you sync again, it'll probably show all now. Thanks guys.
Josh Hubball — Founder @Levelframes
Really well done @mdekuijper, so easy to set up and work with. I view this as something that would be complementary to the existing Level newsletter -- working on a Revue for weekly artwork finds from around the web.
Daniel Jacob Archer — dev/design @naritiv
This is exactly the idea I had a few weeks ago - glad someone else made it for me!
Ross@GoLocalApps — GoLocalApps
What I find funny (interesting) is the number of people who said they'd been thinking of the same idea, including myself. Guessing link roundup emails are hitting the zeitgeist and there are plenty of pain points.
@mdekuijper I'd be interested in chatting about some specific ideas I was considering if you're interested. find me @golocalapps if you'd like to.

@golocalapps Hey I'd definitely love to! Can you send me an email at hi@getrevue.co?
Saijo George — Digital Marketer
this looks awesome. Will check it out over the weekend.
Lana — Community Manager, Goodbits
Looks pretty! Think that's the consensus here. Will you have a vid explaining how the product works in the future? I had a couple of hiccups while creating my newsletter and I think an explainer would be helpful :)
M
Martijn de Kuijper — Founder at Revue
@mstopham Good idea. Would love to hear what the hiccups were. Could you email me at hi@getrevue.co?
Jason Botello — Jidly LLC
Very nice, I love the signup flow - feels very natural and organic. Also I'm a sucker for smooth jQuery transitions :D
Joseph Hsieh — Growth.
This is great! It seems geared more for personal/individual use. We've been using Curated.co and I'm glad there are lots of different takes on how to do curated content.
Zack Miller — Managing Editor, Tradestreaming
Looking forward to trying it out. Seems simpler to use and more intuitive compared to some of the other curation services.
