Review of Petal
Just moved to SF from Canada and I've spent the past month and a half struggling to get my finances setup. I don't have a credit history and my Canadian bank doesn't provide a decent cross border account so I have to start completely from scratch. Even though I make a decent salary I've been rejected by Simple, Chime, Final, Capital One, and Chase, all because I don't have an American credit score. If this service works as advertised it will be one of the most useful and timely services I will have used in my life.
Falsely advertised as a “no fee” card and then began charging fees after two years of on time payments and <10% credit utilization rate. Avoid at all costs, they take advantage of people with little credit history.

Review of Petal
Scam company that should be avoided at ALL costs. Customer service is terrible, very shady business practices and they huge risk to personal information security (they are basically phishing scam and an identity thief's dream). Ultimately any association with Petal will hurt your credit. Avoid these scammers, they won't be around long.

Petal lowered my credit limit stating that it was due to my credit score dropping which isn’t true I have always paid my bills early and always in full I have a $0 balance on this card and have for some time to make it even more insulting they owe me $18.00 the biggest problem with them is this will affect my credit score! This is not the first problem I have had with this company but it will be my last
