AI antique research for collectors. Upload photos, get a structured 7-section report — period, provenance, authentication indicators, market value range — in about 30 seconds. The AI hedges on a 5-tier confidence scale and explains its reasoning. Ceramics, bronzes, paintings, jewelry, furniture, and more.

I collect antiques. Wood pieces mostly, plus paintings, bronzes and ceramics. Spent way too many evenings reading patina, cross-checking maker's marks, trying to date a piece that doesn't quite line up with the references. Knowledge that mostly lives in experts' heads and books that aren't online.
So I built Gotique. Photo in, structured report out in about 30 seconds — period, provenance, authentication indicators, value range. Uses multiple AI models wired to a deep domain knowledge layer that bakes in dynasty markers, faking history, and material availability timelines.
There's a lot of justified skepticism around AI for antique research, and I had it too going in. What's surprised me using this on my own pieces is where it ends up most useful. Provenance research is the big one. Recent example: I pasted a previous owner's name from an auction listing into an analysis. The AI came back with context I'd never have dug up myself — this person was a professor of archaeology at a public university. That changes how much weight to put on the provenance trail entirely. Used to spend hours chasing names through Google. Now it's part of the report in 30 seconds. It also goes through every marker for a category systematically. I check 5-6 things manually and lose focus. AI doesn't get tired.
The 5-tier confidence scale is the honest part. When the AI says "uncertain," I should usually be uncertain too. More useful than false confidence.
