Hi Product Hunt! Founder here, and it's super exciting to show you guys what we've been working on! Huge thanks to everybody who's helped get us to this point. ZipBooks is what we think accounting should be. It aims to simplify bookkeeping dramatically and help small businesses solve what's often their biggest problem - getting cash in the bank when they n… See more

@timchaves Would love to integrate http://paynote.io with ZipBooks. Very clean design. Love it.

@itsthisjustin @timchaves paynote looks awesome. Would love to learn more about it. Do you guys handle the 1099 shuffle too?
Justin Mitchell@itsthisjustin · Designing Products at Sofriendly.com
@datarade @timchaves That feature is coming soon. About to launch a system that automatically notifies you when you've paid over $600 to someone, asks them to fill out a w4 (it emails them a pdf and they can email it back), and then attaches the w4 to their profile in Paynote. When you need to run taxes, you can have 1099's auto generate and download for any… See more

@itsthisjustin @timchaves You take care of my red tape and automation, I bring all my US upwork outsourcers (about 20) off that system and on to paynote.io. Would love to know the ETA on that.

@itsthisjustin @timchaves I have to say, Paynote + ZipBooks would be a killer combination for small businesses. Not many (none?) accounting softwares offer a zero fee ACH like option built in. I'm already exploring ZipBooks, but an integration with Paynote would mean I could never leave :)
Tim Chaves@timchaves · Founder @ZipBooks
@scawtent @itsthisjustin great feedback Scott! Good to hear that there's demand out there for something like this!
Scott Entwistle@scawtent · Founder, Job Ordered
@timchaves @itsthisjustin No worries :) I know a handful of friends running early stage startups that would also jump on the Paynote + Zipbooks partnership in a second.
Adam Magan @mrageeh
@timchaves Can people in other parts of the world use this software?
Tim Chaves@timchaves · Founder @ZipBooks
@mrageeh Hey Adam, absolutely! We support most major currencies, and through Stripe, we can allow accepting credit cards in many countries. The instant payments feature is only available in the U.S. right now, but ZipBooks is still free everywhere!
Brad Hanks@iambradhanks · VP Product, ZipBooks
@mrageeh @timchaves Just to add to that. We also integrate with your PayPal account for even broader service.
Sean Safahi@seansafahi · Product Manager, Airbnb
@datarade Hey Kumar - there are systems in place that do that today. We've built one at www.gobold.com and www.payable.com is another good option.
Rebecca Garcia@geekgirlweb · GeekGirlWeb
@datarade @itsthisjustin @timchaves that would be awesome, thanks for sharing paynote.io!
Justin Mitchell@itsthisjustin · Designing Products at Sofriendly.com
@seansafahi @datarade Payable is awesome and really close to what Paynote offers. However, I think there's definitely still a need for something that isn't complex, is very simple to use and has powerful features for free that anyone can sign up and use. Payable immediately has a huge barrier of entry that I need to request a quote to even use it. I just hav… See more

@geekgirlweb @datarade @timchaves Awesome! Paynote is getting a bit of the "PH hug of death" right now, so if you see pages loading a bit slow, apologies, we are working on bumping up the server scaling right now.
Sean Safahi@seansafahi · Product Manager, Airbnb
@itsthisjustin i definitely agree, Justin. have you looked at how large the "pay a few contractors" market is? l love to see the innovation, though - it wasn't possible in this space as recently as just a year or two ago.
Justin Mitchell@itsthisjustin · Designing Products at Sofriendly.com
@seansafahi That market research is really what I'm working on right now. Essentially Paynote was built for my company and then it moved to being used inside the incubator I'm in. Now comes the part where we prove the hypothesis that simple sells. So far, user feedback says it does.
