Visual studio live share is a great tool for conducting interviews remotely. Given the nature of the workforce today where local talent is harder and harder to find, it is important to have a good way of communicating with and interviewing remote candidates. Using live share is better than regular screen sharing because I can write and select code in the panel for the candidate. It's also not subject to poor connection quality like regular screen sharing as it is sending significantly less data over the wire.Kristopher Kalish has used this product for one month.
Brilliant, intuitive, fast, and extremely handy for cross-team collaboration.
I simply cannot stress on how amazing this is.Cons:
The command palette feels limited on shared session. Given how powerful VSCode is subject to usage of commands & extensions, bit of a blip.
If the command palette's behavior is figured out to unlock full potential, I strongly believe that post this, there is no way any other IDE can even come remotely close to competing with this.Hriddhi Dey has used this product for one day.
