@bocse @cosminnicula How is it different from Microsoft Face API https://www.microsoft.com/cognit...
Cosmin Nicula@cosminnicula
@v2s2c thank you for the question! One key differentiation between us and Microsoft Face API, or any other cloud provider, is the fact that VisageCloud can be deployed on-premise, which is a real benefit for companies and industries that have stricter security, legal and compliance constraints.

@v2s2c @cosminnicula Also, unlike other providers, upon each call to the API you get the face features of the detected faces, which means that your data is not locked-in with one vendor. You can take those feature vector and run comparisons locally, for lower latency and lower usage.

@cosminnicula @bocse Cool ! that is something awesome😊 . one more Quest. does "on-premise" (here) means it can even work in offline mode?

@v2s2c @cosminnicula Yes. We can license it to customers who want to run it on their own machines, in their own infrastructure/network.
Cosmin Nicula@cosminnicula
@v2s2c yes, you don't need any internet connection while on-premise
