Oh my god! It is time to write this message to you! πŸ˜„ I am super excited to to release my first ever product with great people. πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³πŸ˜ I am Oben from beautiful Madrid, working as a software development engineer. During my entire professional life, I always worked in enterprise level companies but this has never prevented me from working on my side projects in my free time. Today is a big milestone for me to share my product with you. As you may know, most businesses rely on over-priced πŸ’΅and hard to manage πŸ’© solutions that should provide very simple outcome: "Monitor my services, notify me when things go wrong and be transparent to my customers about the outages." I was one of the person who needed an affordable solution with simple user interface and decided to build Up Ninja and happy to share it with you, yay! 😁 What are the top features of Up Ninja? - Uptime Monitoring: uptime rate, response time and apdex πŸ“‰ - Request Analysis: show the timing details of request to overcome issues πŸ“Š - Response Analysis: analyse how the service responds in average compared to custom time intervals. πŸ›« - Email, slack, webhook and web push alerts to you and the team members πŸ“§ - No false positives, reliable monitoring: check the potential down alarms second time from a different region and make sure it is not a false alarm. πŸ’ͺ - 9 regions spread to the world. 🌍 - Status pages: Don't leave your customers in the dark during downtime & outages of your website. πŸ˜‡Sample: https://status.dizx.xyz What else? - SSL Monitoring: Certificate expiration is important. Receive updates before it expires. - Customisable Requests: Your requests are going to be fully customisable. You can configure the URL, Check Interval, Expected Status Code, Expected Text Body, Request Headers and Request Body of your monitors. - Projects: Use Projects to organize your monitoring dashboards, to have finer-grained team control, and to simplify your monitor mapping. - Teams: You can share or join to other projects to have collaborative access to your dashboards and monitors. - Mobile friendly, responsive design: Up Ninja has fully responsive design so you can also use your mobile phone to check your monitor details. - Affordable pricing: I was very upset about acquisitive tools. I believe affordable prices are very important for small and mid-size businesses. ---- This is the Phase-I of Up Ninja, which took 22 part time days of mine to build it from scratch starting from the first commit. There are a lot of improvements in my list for customer's benefit and I will be working on the service consistently to improve it day by day. Please let me know about your opinions & feedbacks! I opened my 4 eyes, waiting for them eagerly! πŸ˜€πŸ‘ By the way, I created a special coupon code for Product Hunters. Use "PRODUCTHUNT30" coupon code in the checkout to get 30% discount. Plans start from only 4.99 $ !
There are many uptime monitors in the industry but when I checked it, being affordable but also being reliable sounds very good to me. I added with a couple of websites already! Additionally I liked the user interface. Congratulations on your launch! πŸ₯³πŸ‘
@solid3y3 Thank you very much for your comments Jake! πŸ˜€Yes, making it reliable was the hardest part but we trust on us about it.
It looks great. Very helpful for the monitoring of functionality of websites. Congrats for your first release..
@alperen_koseoglu Thank you very much Alperen for your comment!
Congratulations on your launch Oben! It is a very good designed user interface, easy to use. I have been using UptimeRobot since a couple of years and one thing it lacks is being able to receive down messages which are not real, mostly false. Making the secondary check sounds interesting and a good feature to my opinion. Also, I really liked the "badge" thing. It seems very basic idea but it is not. There are various types of badges and being able to show mini badges in github repo or some wiki documents for the services is really cool idea! I wish you luck on Up Ninja! πŸ₯³ 😎
@karacago Thank you Gokhan for valuable comment! Yes, actually the badge idea was coming from a pain of mine while I was using other tools. When I decided to create my tool, I decided to put the badge feature haha! For the reliability: You have 1 minute metrics and let's say you are given permission to 3 different regions. (E.g.: Nurnberg, Tokyo and Seattle). In the minute first, Up Ninja sends the request from Nurnberg and let's say this request is failed. So instantly (without waiting the next 1 minute), Up Ninja makes the second request from one of the available region (except the failed one, randomly selected). Let's say Up Ninja made the request from Tokyo and realised that everything is fine. It did not create the alarm. This one prohibited the customer from false alarm. But what if a condition like your service is failing only for one specific region? One minute later, Up Ninja will make the request from Tokyo, not from Nurnberg. So let's say Tokyo is okay. Next minute from Seattle. Let's say Seattle is also fine. And one minute later Up Ninja will make the request from again, Nurnberg. If Nurnberg fails again, Up Ninja checks if Nurnberg had ever failed in 15 minutes timeline (This value is chosen in purpose, it is more than the max number of regions we have so at least one datapoint will be existing for the beginning of round robin). If Nurnberg is failing for the second time, it wont make secondary check. It will send the down alarm immediately. So, Up Ninja has two features to avoid false alarms but also catch the real true alarms :)
I've created a trial account, configured a couple of sites and it provides insightful information (including a funnel and SSL certificate information) and a professional and polished UI. It provides multi-region checks and status pages. It's awesome, I recommend you give it a try πŸ‘ Oben
@gaston_fournier Thank you Gaston for your comment! We are trying to target all small and mid-size companies, startups which are looking for affordable but also reliable solution!
