Top Hunts Time Machine

Most voted hunt every day since Product Hunt records began

#1 Product of the DayMay 19, 2019
Ever wondered what every single top voted hunt would look like on one page? Wonder no more! An addictive little side project we built over a few weekends that allows you to jump to certain points in "Product Hunt time" and see the top voted products.

  • Pros:

    Works great.

Add tag line that appears under the product title on PH: sometimes it's not immediately obvious what the product does from the image/name

Just what I've been looking for: an easy way to catch up with PH if I miss a few weeks; or to look back into the crystal ball of days gone by.

Josh Hardman has used this product for one day.
Awesome work! Would love if each product linked back to its original PH listing. I always love learning more about the makers of a project and the community feedback 👍
@lachlankirkwood Thanks :) and nice idea. Perhaps we could have a quick link to the product website and one for the PH listing...we found that jumping straight to the site allowed for quick and easy browsing of lots of different products that caught your attention. Would be interesting to hear what others think and how they've been using it so far. I can definitely see the benefit of an option of feeding back into the listing for more context about the product, maker and related products
@lachlankirkwood @imjonathanclift Yes I think this would be awesome so that you could also see people's initial reactions, pros/cons, and see the progress the product has made after its first launch
Man, product of the day! You should roll out Portfolio Monitor from the old days. Could be a smash.
@amrith cheers Amrith, glad you like it. Was a fun project to build. Found ourselves browsing around on it quite a bit and stumbling across some really cool products from the past :)
Great job!😊 Will check it out!
This is a really cool concept Is there any chance we could also get a short description for each product listed? Whilst the listing is great (on mobile) it would be great to have more context about each product before clicking on it
@cfowlerdesign thanks and makes sense. We can definitely play around with that. Only reason not to include it really was to keep the listings as minimal as possible with so much on the page. It might be a bit too lean at the moment though :)
