I love mysteries.

This is one of the best reads of the summer, IMHO. It's a fun mystery that you can't put down. And yes, if you liked Gone Girl, you will like this.

How does it compare to Gone Girl specifically?

@jeffumbro I would say it's just the same type of quick, easy-to-read mystery fiction. It's also got women characters that aren't what they seem on the surface. I thought it was a fun summer read. Haven't read a page-turner in awhile, so I liked it a lot for that reason.

Loved this book - couldn't put it down. I would say about 3/4ish through the twist can definitely be figured out.

curious how traumatic it is? I like mysteries but had PTSD issues with Gone Girl because of the abuse and vivid descriptions. Is it 'fun' like you say or darker than that?
