Hi there! 👋 So recently I was planning to switch my job and the first thing any recruiter ask for is Resume. So I had to dig out my old word file resume and do painstaking edits on it and then export a PDF out of it. Being a designer I was not at all happy with the aesthetics of my old resume and also there were some fundamental flaws as it was never designed from the perspective of an HR or a recruiter. I got some insights from an HR friend and created a 1-page resume in Sketch. A couple of my non- design friends were really intrigued with my resume and wanted something similar for them as well. They didn't know anything about Sketch, so they wanted my help in creating their resume. That's when the bulb glowed, the bell rang and I got my AHA! moment 💡. Over a course of 2 months, we decided to work on a product - That is both elegant and powerful - That is available online whenever I need it. - That I can edit as easily as a Facebook post. - That is device adaptive so that the HR doesn't have to zoom in my PDF resume on a small phone or require special software to open my word resume on her phone. That looks good on any device. -That is light like a Link so that I don't need to attach heavy PDF/word resume in my mail and end up getting in the trash folder of the recruiter. - That I can rectify at once place in case of a mistake and it gets rectified everywhere without resending the resumes all over again. That's how SwiftCV was born. A small idea to solve a problem turned into a side project. I hope you will find it interesting and that it can help you build/ maintain your professional presence online without any hassle! Very excited to hear your feedback 🙏 👉🏻 Track the list of exciting upcoming features: https://www.swiftcv.com/suggest-us 🐞 Let us know in case you encounter a bug, in the comments or on our site's contact us section.

Haven‘t tried it yet, but will do so later. Is it possible to translate everything to a different Language? Like changing „Experience“? That‘s not possible with many of those online CV generators.

@manuelauer Hey Manuel, unfortunately we only support English as of now but certainly we'll certainly keep multi-lingual support feature in mind for future :) Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it!

It works really well except for two or three small details. I liked the fact that it is incredibly easy to use. It is also free so I will never complain. It is still a beta and you can notice it: 1- The character count didn't appear every time 2- The PDF version is not exactly the same as the online version 3- Once you're done, there is to much blank space at the bottom of the page 4- The highlights display on the PDF as an ordered list but it's not the case on the builder. 5- I was not able to see where I could upload the logos of my employers, maybe because not in the MVP? Apart from that, it's a great product that I would use. Thanks, Makers.

@amokrane_tamine Hi! Thanks! 1. The character count didn't appear every time -- Current design shows character limit only on focus/selection of the UI element. Even after selecting the element, isn't it showing still? Anyway, we'll verify it again. 2. The PDF version is not exactly the same as the online version -- Yes, you are right. There are some font compatibility issues with PDFs. We have tried our best to reach the resemblance and we'll continue towards reaching as close to web resume view. 3. Once you're done, there is to much blank space at the bottom of the page -- Yes, we are aware of that problem since we have a single layout for all volume of content as now. We're working on some kind of dynamic layouts. We'll keep all the users posted on our changes :) 4. The highlights display on the PDF as an ordered list but it's not the case on the builder -- Nice catch! We'll fix it soon. Thanks. 5. I was not able to see where I could upload the logos of my employers, maybe because not in the MVP? -- Yes. You're right. Again, it is in development phase. We'll keep you notified on any new changes we introduce so that you all can avail the best of them. Thanks for your feedback. Appreciate it!

I like the idea and onboarding was nice. However, once you're in the resume (I'm on mobile) it's a bit weird that you have to open the menu to go to the single parts and edit them. Why can't I simply click on the headlines? Also, the grey bars are a bit misleading.

@filterfreak Hey Micheal! Thanks! And regarding what you mentioned about opening the menu, yes, we already have that in development to add/edit content through directly interacting with the resume instead of menu options. Gray bars, yes, we got that feedback and we are on it. Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it! :)
