Each episode dives into a few common themes, the future of physical galleries, role of data and storytelling, digital tools that are changing the creation process, how tech is democratizing the art world, and how new technologies such as AR/VR and blockchain are changing the way we interact with art.

Hello everyone, Ethan, the host and creator of State of the Art, here. I launched this podcast because that the ‘tech’ industry can do a lot more to enable the art ecosystem. This is in part because the conversation is being controled by the very institions (schools, galleries, art fairs) that are adverse to it. As a result we are not asking the right questions and we do not have the right folks on the table. The State of the Art podcast is the place everyone can go to be aware, learn and start asking the hard questions about the intersection of art & tech. Technology is already changing so much of our lives and transforming how we approach things like travel, transportation etc, and it’s time that we tapped on its potential to transform the art world as well. So Whether you’re a casual browser on instagram, a famous artist or just looking to sound smart at your next dinner party, State of the Art is for you. Please dont hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, recommendations or suggestions.
