Standard Cyborg, which just announced its funding from Y-Combinator, is one of the most beautiful concepts to come out of the Valley in quite some time. Our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (along with the many conflicts that still rage around the planet) have created more amputees than any of us would like to contemplate. Most of the time, these amputees get generic, "off-the-shelf" artificial limbs that come with a raft of complications. They also look weird. Standard Cyborg is trying to do them better, starting with custom 3D-printed limbs that not only eliminate MOST of the hassles, but actually look futuristic. Even cool. I'm so glad that @sama and the team at YC decided to fund this one. It give me hope for us, yet, and hope makes me smile. @jeffreyhuber, care to chime in? Curious what challenges you see ahead.

This should've been the top hunt of the day...

@anujadhiya agreed. A bit disappointed that it languished.

@dankaplan Was inspired to create a collection for products like this: http://www.producthunt.com/anuja... Hopefully, it provides another way for great stuff like this to be re-disocvered on PH.
