@tomflemming Spark v Polymail :-)
@a12rj @tomflemming The quality of Polymail app is terrible IMO. I've been a user for few months now. Unstable and very buggy
Steven H@shtooova
@tomflemming airmail is extremely messy to me, ditched it on iOS for easilydo (beta version) and on Mac ditched it for spark.
Zac@zacattac · Marketer & Men's Shop Owner
@shtooova I'm curious to how it has it been messy for you? Just the way it organize's your email? Or was it crashing a lot? I throughly enjoy Airmail and it's stable for me, but maybe I'm missing something.
Steven H@shtooova
@zacattac no I'm talking about the aesthetic. Everything else I love!

@wokalski @a12rj @tomflemming Agreed. I want to love Polymail but it crashes EVERY time I wake my MBP from sleep. Every time.
Eric Castellón@ecblanco · IT Supervisor, General Ledger
@a12rj @tomflemming Polymail is very buggy, I had to switch back to default Mail App
Eat Drink Stay Dubai@eatdrinkstaydxb · S - Eat Drink Stay Dubai
@a12rj @tomflemming Crikey, Polymail is where Airmail was a couple of years ago - looks great, but buggy and sometimes just hardly works. Expected more from Polymail in honesty - seems like there are a few great ideas at the expense of general functionality
Anthony Painter@a12rj · operations, investor, problem solver
Any plans on an auto bcc feature?
Shahin@shahinix
@eatdrinkstaydxb @a12rj @tomflemming I've found Spark beta 1 more stable than Airmail.
Shahin@shahinix
@zacattac @shtooova Airmail is offering many unique features that no other client offers. but sadly it's still not stable and crashy. It's also not a RAM friendly app by any means.
Andrew Spear@spearnz
Spark for iOS was my favourite iOS mail client but I switched to Airmail for the Mac support. It's so great that there's now a native Spark app for MacOS, I've switched over and so far so good 👍

Finally! Thanks for this must app

Finally! Buy, buy Newton! Love Spark.
The app is free, so what is the business model? How do you plan to sustain development?

@wokalski my concern exactly.. it looks good but I'd like to know if it's here to stay :)

@wokalski All the other apps from Readdle are paid. They make money from the companion productivity apps (Scanner & PDF Expert are must haves!)

@wokalski Found this comment on another post on /r/mac: General Statistical Information "When you use the Spark app we gather statistics and analytics on your usage of Spark. @neurohacked Thanks. I think this prevents many people, myself included, from using this app.
Patrick Kuti@patyx7 · DevOps Engineer
@neurohacked @wokalski Thanks for this. I was looking forward to it until finding out the above, as this also prevents myself from using this app. I really don't understand why the recent surge of new e-mail applications constantly feel the need to get you to either sign up for a new user account, or store your e-mail on their servers and to add salt to the … See more
@patyx7 @neurohacked yeah; the password part is just a bit worrying because you can make them delete it if you disable push notifications on all your devices. This part however makes me seriously an opponent of this app: "We use third party services, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics and Amplitude [...]. Spark was very good on ios and now it comes to desktop. I just hope there will be no "newtonish" / pro paid switch. But I guess it's inevitable.

@kkdub I'm actually making the switch back to PC today, and I'm less excited about it now :X
Kelly Kuhn-Wallace@kkdub · Coach: Grow Your Biz w/o the Crazy
@bauermetal Hope the move went well. It can be rough. Apply liberal amounts of high end beer/liquor/hot chocolate/pizza/ice cream as your preference & as needed. I assume you did so last night (good preparation is the key to success).

I've been beta testing and the app is great. Although I would have a few remarks : 1) some messages can't be displayed on both iOS and mac for no apparent reason. 2) the most awesome feature of batch deleting (as well as batch archiving which is there) on the iOS app has disappeared on the mac version. Waiting for these fixes to completely switch from Airmai… See more

Hi guys, Thank you all for the interest and comments. We've spent the last 2.5 years working on Spark in order to change the email experience for people with a busy inbox. Readdle has a proven track record of creating amazing productivity apps that are used by 50 million people (Scanner Pro, PDF Expert, Calendars, Documents), but it was the time to take o… See more

@denzhadanov Been a long time user on iOS and a beta user on the Mac. Brilliant app. I wake up to only relevant emails now. Sleep has improved. Needed that. Thank you!

@denzhadanov Great job guys! I have been using Spark on iPhone for a while and liked it a lot. Already installed on my Mac and happy so far :)
@denzhadanov I really enjoy it so far! I have been using Newton for a while and Sparks interface is much more compelling with multiple mailboxes. I think you should consider integrating mail tracking/scheduling :)

@denzhadanov would love to be able to set a default font (even better a default font stack so it matches my signature).
Eat Drink Stay Dubai@eatdrinkstaydxb · S - Eat Drink Stay Dubai
@denzhadanov Wow, so impressed at this. Spark is ace on IOS and whilst I thought I was content with Airmail on Mac, I'm now not so sure. One killer feature I love on Airmail is being able to filter all the messages by same sender with one keystroke - far easier to work through (or bin). Can't see that Spark or Polymail have that feature (yet). Keep up the fa… See more

@tigranhakobian @denzhadanov how's the iphone app? is it better than Polymail's? I've enjoyed that so far
JoshTodd@joshtodd · Director of Product, TUNE
@meetbryce yes! This is my biggest frustration with Spark.
Tigran Hakobyan@tigranhakobian · Entrepreneur, Co-founder/CMO @ inapptics
@trey_hakanson @denzhadanov the iPhone app is really great for me! I have been using Apple's native mail app for a while, then Outlook (which was great before Apple releasing iOS 10), but Spark is definitely better. Haven't used Polymail, so can't compare it with Spark.

So far so good, it is stable and snappy. But the download for attachment is kind of annoying. Seems it would start automatically with other confirmation and the speed is poor. On the other hand, I still want to replace the quick replies with some in APP customizable templates.

Waldemar Juschin@wjuschin · Founder - 5AM Provisions, Inc.
@blakefolgado why replace polymail? If been trying it out and had way too many issues. Syncing, loading time, etc... was it just me or did you have he same issues?
blake folgado@blakefolgado · Product Designer🖍 Entrepreneur💻 EF Alum
@wjuschin I got an email a few days ago to now pay for Pro. All the features in Pro are what makes it unique. Its not that I do not mind paying for Pro but I have been using it since its beta launch on here and I cannot recall every being told I would have to pay for these features down the line.
