Hello Product Hunters,
I am Alexander and one of the co-founders of Organic Basics.
We are super excited and honored to be featured on Product Hunt today.
We have been researching and developing for more than a year now on how to bring you a line of basic apparel that actually matters to the modern man.
Based on material previously used in space suits have we created what we believe is the world's most comfortable, versatile and advanced underwear named Silvertech. By working with natural elements such as pure silver and organic cotton, we've created a fabric that enhances the capabilities of your skin.
We are bringing you a product that:
- Eliminates 99,9% of all bacteria.
- Naturally regulates temperature to reduce sweat
- Creates a better blood circulation.
- Keeps you fresh and odorless all day - all week.
We are currently live on Kickstarter - and have been featured on everything from Wired to Ars Technica.

@hellohereisalex Hi Alex, Interesting. There are already some products on the market using silver for the same reasons. I bought some socks a few weeks ago from a mainstream UK retailer, for example, that contain silver for the same reasons that you describe above. What will differentiate your products and technology from existing vendors?

Very good question. In general, the silver products that the mainstream retailers both in UK/US sell are most commonly with silver nanoparticles, which is a method that had gotten popular a few years ago. The problem with this way of using silver is that it wash out after just a few washes. Our FLEXSIL Performance Silver is spun from pure silver and polyester. It's a brand new performance fabric, which we sourced from the finest long fiber organic cotton. Our method with FLEXSIL spun directly into the product will last the products lifetime.
