Serene

Marcus & Team Serene - This is great! Over the past few months I've hobbled together something similar using Alfred, some scripts and another "Focus" type app (that only had a few features I wanted). Serene seems to be pretty close to what I wanted to end up with, so Thank you! I see the app says that it blocks notifications, but I don't see the notification center DND enabled. Is this feature really working? (I'm on Catalina - that could be why? ) Looking forward to getting into this more, and ditching my rube goldburg machine :-)

It's a nice idea, but come on, a 14 day trial? Why do you think I'd pay to have this? It's a nice thing to have, but there's loads of them for free. I uninstalled it as soon as I saw it's a trial. You guys have loads of other ways to make money, paying to use it isn't gonna cut it for me, sorry. I can't pay for every little thing monthly, especially if it doesn't bring that much value to the table.

Pros: - Simple interface (no clutter) - Works on desktop (disconnected from Chrome clutter ;)) Cons: - Needs an easy like macbook-no-brainer onboarding process

I gave it a go, but the app seems way too buggy right now to be useful. I started it up and everything seemed all great. Then I went to sign up for premium with the product hunt coupon code. It still required a credit card even though the price was $0, which was in pounds instead of my local currency (CAD). This seemed like it went through okay, and I got the confirmation email, but nothing happened. I didn't get any of the premium features and the app still said I was on the free plan. I chalked that up to something I'm sure I could've asked you to fix quickly. The biggest, most annoying issue was when I starting to add an actual session for the daily goal. I accidentally clicked a session before I was done adding them, so it started that session. There was no way for me to get out without ending the session, so I did that. It asked if I was done my goal for the day and I said no. It crossed out the session that I had ended (there was no way for me to reactivate this session so it could be started again), and then it automatically kicked me out of all the session screens and put me on the dashboard. There was a checkmark on today as though I had completed my goal, but I cannot reverse that or undo anything. It is now stuck in a state that is the equivalent of being bricked since I can't add any tasks/sessions to the goal, or start a new goal for the day. Totally useless now. Really unfortunate since it seems like there is potential to be a really great app. Hopefully this can be fixed quickly so I have the opportunity to try it with a bit of a smoother experience. Simple, intuitive and combines the functionality of multiple apps which you would have needed before Serene

Serene looks great. If it helps me with my day then its worth a look.
