We've been using it since January and it gave us great visibility into aspects of our setup that was not bringing us great value. Also finding it's forecast feature really helpful month on month.

Pros:

Massively helpful when understanding how to reduce cost

Cons:

Nothing major

Thanks to this tool we can better understand our spendings and it's very helpful for new GCP users since it makes the cloud service very transparent.

I use reOptimize every day to optimize cloud bills of my clients. Can't images how would I do that without this amazing tool.

Disclaimer: I am the CTO of DoiT International, the company behind reOptimize

Pros:

Free for most users!

Cons:

Still can't optimize cloud egress traffic

Overall it's a great way to track our GCP spending. We use labels to mark resources for various sub-projects and it's great we can track per-subproject spending this way.

Pros:

Creating reports based on GCP labels is a killer feature for us. Comparison to previous month is quote helpful.

Cons:

Report management UI could be more intuitive. It's not clear if it's possible to share report with other people

I use it for analyzing GCP costs in general, per project, and specifically for BigQuery usage analysis per user and per query. It helps me find heavy queries, users whose queries can be optimized and in general optimize performance and costs.

Pros:

THE tool for analyzing your GCP costs, period.

Cons:

The more sophisticated reports require some setup (running gcloud SDK commands)

I really dived into all the options and features of this tool, but it helped us understand that we're burning money in the wrong places (made us leave App-Engine Flex in favor of GKE). Specifically with App-Engine, I remember that the tool didn't show us which service costs more than the other, but maybe there were some configurations that we missed.

Pros:

Very useful tool to analyze costs

Cons:

Nothing major

Very useful product we use on daily basis.

Pros:

Helps with detailed cost analysis.

Cons:

Some metrics not available for optimizations.

For integration i just visited there doc, which is so much clear and easy as well but before integration i connected with Dror. He has given me enough information and instructed me till integration got succeed. Every day i spend 20 mins in reOptimize to track my cost billings.

Just one suggestion if possible they can try having AWS also for billing or In GCP it self they can enable some high level monitoring which actually helps DevOps to have limited tools in their bucket.

Pros:

1. Simple Integration

2. Simple and clean UI

3. Enough information to point the expense rate

4. New feature BQ usability adds more value

Cons:

If they can add multilevel integration directly from UI

Cons:

nothing that comes to mind

Chief Business Officer at DoiT Intl.

reOptimize was designed and built by DoiT International when they realised GCP customers are flying blind. No other solution provides detailed cost analysis, optimisations, budget management and Cost Allocations for GCP customers. Together with Google, DoiT decided to upload the product to Google Launcher so that the GCP community can benefit from it.

Pros:

Free, easy, straight forward, DoiT free Support, reduces costs, recommendations. BigQuery and Compute optimizations

Cons:

Pivot builder can be more intuitive

Using reOptimize since we moved to GCP. So much better at visualizing and understanding our ongoing costs.

Pros:

Dashboard style presentation is great for understanding and slicing cloud costs. Simple and valuable

Cons:

nothing really!!

Maybe you can create alerts by labels...?

Pros:

Very helpful in understanding GCP cost trends

Cons:

Connecting ReOptimize to the machine name

Downloading reports is hard

Good idea but lacks any sort of cohesive documentation. UI is unintuitive and difficult to navigate. Some features require a bit of burn-in for stats to be collected but this is not indicated anywhere in the UI or documentation. With some polish, this could be a killer app for anyone using GCP. As it stands now, this is marginally more useful than the dashboard that comes with GCE.
