It's distraction-free editor and clean UI is excellent, but I wish it had more features for planning, story arc visualisation and linking elements (people, places, etc) into the story.

If you're a writer looking for an editor, I highly recommend Reedsy. I love the editor I found with them, and I'll be using Reedsy again in the future!

Second time using Reedsy, did not disappoint! I worked with the same editor that I worked with last time, and she was professional, kind, and produced the high-quality edit I needed to work on the next draft of my book. I will keep working with her through Reedsy so long as she is available!
Absolute worst company. There may be a couple good editors but others are TERRIBLE with total ego problems who tear authors apart to belittle and condescend. If you have an issue at all reedsy you will not back the author they are there too back the people that work for them and will make them money. It’s an absolutely terrible company with no ethics, no morals, and who do not follow their own terms and conditions. Google editors and don’t use this garbage site!
Hi Mya, sorry to hear about your negative experience. We definitely understand that receiving editorial feedback can sometimes be a difficult experience at first. Most of our editors will offer feedback in a kind and understanding way, though some will sugarcoat it more than others (who prefer a "tough love" approach). Similarly, some writers prefer that tough love approach, which for others (like yourself) might not be as effective.
This is why we encourage authors to first get a clear sense of the editor's communication and editorial style before you hire them. For example, ask to see a sample of their work on a previous client's manuscript — or even a sample on your own book.
All that said, I'd encourage you to revisit the feedback you received from your editor. It might have felt harsh and hurt your confidence in the first place, but if you come back to it with a fresh mind, you'll probably find a lot of suggestions to improve your manuscript (and your writing in general).
I've used Reedsy to find editors and designers for indie publishing. Wow, I've been blown away by the ease of using Reedsy's platform and finding outstanding professionals to work with. I like having a place I know I can trust, especially as a newbie to indie publishing. The content that Reedsy provides aside from the freelance platform has all been useful as well, so that alone is worth joining the Reedsy community. I also like how they're expanding their services. It feels like they're really putting their customers first. They offer great support and a trusted place to collaborate.
I am new author, and arrests has been a game changer. I found highly experience editors for my picture book series and contemporary novel and a phenomenal illustrator for my picture books.
Reedsy is such a fantastic resource pool for any level of writer! I have used their editorial services as well as their book layout resources and they are top-shelf! The way Reedsy lays out prospective collaborators makes it easy to reach out and find the best possible people to assist with developing your writing project. I will always go back to Reedsy!!!!
Reedsy is high quality, easy to use site for self published authors of the books. I liked their online courses, They gathered great professional in every step of publishing including editors, book designers. They provide high quality service and all of the team are very gentle! It was a pleasure to work with them!
