Hi Product Hunters π, I'm Whit, an indie maker, a product lover and a huge Product Hunt fan β€οΈ. Thank you for checking out RandomPizza. The idea π‘for RandomPizza came from attending so many of these different tech and startup events/meetups. So often I'd find myself going home with a free box pizza because there were leftovers π. That feeling of getting free pizza and sharing it with your friends was great but happened pretty infrequently. I thought hmm.. I would never pay for that pizza but maybe, I would pay for that *experience* of getting a random free pizza more often.
RandomPizza was built without any code. I quickly hacked together a frontend in Weblow and shared on Twitter. Below are the no-code tools that gives RandomPizza life:
Webflow - Website
Gumroad - Subscription / Payments
Typeform - Data on Preferences / Form
Google Sheet - Database
Zapier - Pushing & Pulling Data / Automations

That's cool but everybody already said it @whit_anderson. I am wondering what's the business model or strategy around it.

Glad to hunt this for @whit_anderson. I've first heard his initial idea in a weekly meetup I run in Atlanta and loved it right away. It quickly drew everyone's attention (I mean pizza is not hard to like!) since it hits the right chord of user delight/surprise and "variable reward" principles of product building. You'll get at least 1 pizza (so the value is guaranteed!) but you have the upside of getting up to 3 pizzas which is awesome. I've been one of the early paid members and enjoyed getting surprised twice. Very interested to see what you all say/think of this idea and what suggestions you may have. Also, this entire product was built without code so it's extra special to me! #GoNoCode

Such a fun and care free service. Whether you decide to have your random pizzas delivered to your home, or your office, the surprise of a couple unexpected pizzas can make any day fun. Itβs also an easy way to make a friend or coworkers day by offering a slice!

@andy_irwin Variability is super important to this product. Really enjoy hearing some stories about how the variability will play out in real life. π
Love the idea behind this one - making everyday things fun through randomness. Also gives me the perfect excuse to indulge in pizza. Easily navigable interface with quirky, fun lingo.

People have so many monthly subscriptions to things that get shipped to their front door- why not pizza?? Such a fun service! And the surprise element is a cherry on top!
