We've been using productboard to build our MVP and it helped us to get everybody on the team on board with what we're building and kept us focused. I love that productboard helped us also gather feedback from different sources (Intercom, emails and various conversations) so now we're processing the user feedback and planning our next product improvements - all in one tool. That's just the best!

Pros:

Best for connecting user feedback and product features. I love the intercom & trello integration!

Cons:

We love using them for our product, never found anything similar.

Thank you for the kind words Kate ! 🙏

Productboard led to the death of spreadsheets and emails at our company when it came to product management. I've become a true fan of this solution and the great way it solves such a painful problem. Before adopting we played with Aha! who are a competitor, Productboard blew them out the water as far as I am concerned. Love it.

Pros:

Clean UI, focus on solving the core problems, great team who listen

Cons:

Rich formatting of text would be nice but I know the team are working on it

Thank you, Joe! Sorry about the formatting and thank you for your patience! A rich-text editor that supports copy/paste from all the different formats out there and that is reasonably easy to build on, so that we can have our snippets working just right, is quite an engineering challenge, but we will get there!

Wow product, for real. I didn't remember last time when a product was so natural in use and so perfectly solves the need. You feel how a team crafted each details and each feature. Great job! And I could not name any close substitute.

Pros:

Simple and very clear tool to cover the PM job cycle: Collect ideas > Set priority > Put into roadmap > Track progress

Cons:

Nothing.

Thank you so much for such kind words Dmitriy!

We've been using ProductBoard for just over a year and it's made a major difference to how we have designed and developed the MVPs and started the pilot process. Including research in the same space is great and the new portal will help massively

Pros:

Great UI, simple and intuitive, clearly laid out, updated regularly, great support - fast and helpful, and open to new ideas

Cons:

Perhaps more integrations?

MakerHiring
Thank you for your review @macca_mk! ;) Could you please let us know what kind of integration you want to see in the future? https://portal.productboard.com/pb
Hi Michal - I was thinking along the lines of Microsoft's VSTS and Teams applciations, both of which we use at an organisational level and which would help us cut down on the time it takes to copy info between the services as well as ensuring accuracy and better communication

Great tool overall

Pros:

Great UX, cool support, nice roles

Cons:

a bit laggy when you have a lot of data

Thank you for your review @jordanegiuly! 😎 Could you please contact directly with your performance issues? Thank you

Productboard has eliminated all of my spreadsheets, decks and docs recording user research and put them in a actionable process. It's then removed my feature lists in asana and once again put them into a actionable process. If you manage a product - it's a must! 😇

Pros:

The ability to link research directly to features which helps prioritse what to work on next is incredible.

Cons:

Nothing yet. Any little bugs I find their support are straight on it!

MakerHiring
Thank you, Steve! Elimination of spreadsheets and decks is what we are after! Glad to hear it is working! 😀

We build and grow www.yumpu.com with Productboard - Thank you!

Pros:

Best in product development

Cons:

No cons for today - we love the new version 2.0

I've tried everything on the market and ProductBoard is the ONLY one that has stuck. I live in it every day. I've got Zapier zaps sucking in feedback from all over the place, and now with the Feedback Portal they unveiled, I'm able to provide transparency internally without frying non-dev non-designers minds with making them go into Jira (or even Trello I've found is TMI/confusing for people).

Pros:

Best way to ingest customer feedback and map it to features/roadmap.

Cons:

I wish I had the ability to spin up multiple instances of the Feedback Portal (internally facing & public/user facing)

One of my favorite apps in my toolkit.

Pros:

Clean, minimal but highly effective, intercom integration is killer. Transformed our product planning process.

Cons:

No way to manage multiple roadmaps, all products must exist on one "board"

MakerHiring
Thank you for the kind words, Jake! We will make the roadmap more customizable and will add the ability to save multiple views, just like we have it on the Feature board. Stay tuned!

really nice tool to collect feedback and sort ideas for product people which anyone can contribute

Pros:

simple, collaborative, modern, not cluttered with BS features that nobody uses...

Cons:

it can always be cheaper, right? ;)

Keep up the good work!

Pros:

User experience and simplicity

Cons:

Nothing for now

A fantastic support, with a growing community, a delight to use ... and it has really brought some great insights on the dreaded " what to do next?"

Pros:

A true help toward data driven product management

Cons:

...well nearly nothing .. perhaps it is not working on iPad

One of the most well-thought out, smartest thought-work tools I've ever used. Great responsive team headed by Hubert Palan, who's using his in-the-trenches product management experience to build a pm tool with best-practices built into it's DNA. They eat their own dogfood, are constantly improving the product (whilst constantly polling us for assumption validation), and are friendly and responsive.

Pros:

Provides great feature and product overview. Makes user-focussed best-practice product management the path of least resistance. Great UX.

Cons:

Needs a light-weight view to make it easier for non-PM's dip in and out of tickets.

Too expensive

Pros:

Excellent way to tie research to features

Cons:

expensive
