@mgreiler Heeey, Michaela. That's super kind of you. Thank you for following the process and taking the time to write this—that means a lot to me.
Pablo, this is so great! Really loving the inclusivity and diversity you promote with this! Just a tiny suggestion on the tech side of things: You're using Google Analytics – have you considered anonymizing your visitors' IP addresses? And, looking at all the trackers the site is running, it might be a good idea to add a privacy policy (GDPR says hi 👋). Cheers!
@voneff Heeey, Alex! Thank you so much for suggesting this... I don't know how to do any of that. Is that something I can set up in Google Analytics? I just copied pasted the code, lol. I don't want to invade people's privacy :(
@pablostanley Hey, thanks for picking this up! Right now your code looks like this (screenshot): For my understanding, you simply need to add "{ 'anonymize_ip': true }" to the line that starts with "gtag('config'…" The full line would look like this in your case: gtag('config', 'UA-158783102-1', { 'anonymize_ip': true }); Here's an explainer: Cheers Alex
@voneff Hey, Alex! I'm also realizing that, by default, Google Analytics share a lot of stuff with their marketing teams. I went back and turned all of that off. I'm gonna try this. Thanks for the links.
@voneff Done! I just updated the site by using your method. Thank you for the tip!
@pablostanley You're very welcome! I'm glad I could be of help. Love your work!
