  • Pros:

    Self-contained, goes anywhere.

    Cons:

With the rack on top, the van can't go into many parking garages.

I loved traveling in my Nomad camper. I traveled through California and Oregon for months.

Thubten Comerford has used this product for one month.

Very interesting model, focused on the experiential traveler (similar audience as Airbnb customers). Economically it's a great deal, far cheaper than if one were to run a car and book a hotel. I'm planning to rent one of these this weekend with @suzywillow. Will report back! ✌🏼

I’d love this if there was an option to pick up and drop off in different locations.

@_satelliteeyes Totes. Also self-driving. :)

@_satelliteeyes Sarah, we have been offering one way trips to LA and have also done a few to Portland and Las Vegas. We agree! As we get more users we fully intend to encourage one way trips. More users help as we can match a traveler with a route back to a given vans’ home base.

Non-populated social links, FAQ link that leads to nowhere, no product information on site. Yeah, looks legit.

@andreasduess thanks for the feedback, we’re working on a more polished V2 of the site.
Andreas Duess@andreasduess · CCO, Nourish Food Marketing
@jakewesorick fair enough. But then take a second and remove dead links from your website.

@clintnelsen not looking for polish. Reading the comments on here it's clear that there is a business. I would just take a second and remove dead links. It hurts your credibility. Best of luck.

@guillaumecabane and https://www.escapecampervans.com the two are leaders in the "van for roadtrip" segment. How would Nomad differ from their model/offer?
Gabe O'Leary@golear · Program Manager, Microsoft
@guillaumecabane @picsoung It looks like has more 'Premium' offerings than the two linked above. Not necessarily a better deal though...
Clint NelsenMaker@clintnelsen · Nomad Camper Vans
@guillaumecabane for now it’s fair to say we are a nicer, unbranded Jucy that allows for 24/7 pickup and drop off. Our Mercedes vans currently have remote unlocking and they function more like a Zipcar meets a camper van. Down the road we hope to facilitate one way trips, and we have plans to map out where you can go from places to park at night to points of interest, places to shower, etc. It would be great to hear of other ideas or needs you might have as a traveler.

@clintnelsen Interesting! How do you handle turnaround cleanup with a 24/7 business model?

I used Nomad earlier this year for an overnight at Laguna Seca. Was easy to drive, simple to setup the bed and the team was really friendly and accommodating. Excited to see this on PH and hope more people get to try it.
