Impressive new update of the already superb Near Lock. Whoever thinks Apple does a good job at automatically unlocking your Mac with the  Watch should take a look at this. It's brilliant. Words can not describe the power of this app. And with version 4 it's better than ever. No knocking on iPhones or watches, though you can set it to do so. This is auto-lock & unlock by walking away or entering the work area where your Mac is. It automatically pauses and resumes your iTunes in case you were listening to music. And it can automatically fill-in your password whenever your Mac needs your authorization. It's amazing. I can go on for hours here, but grab the free trial version and experience it yourself. And be amazed at the excellent new features that are too numerous to mention.

I've bought the pro version after successful testing with the standard version and I'm having some issues between my MacBook pro 2014 and iPhone SE. Unfortunately there seems to be some lag at times and at others just doesn't unlock and says it is disconnected and my phone is trying to find the mac according to the UI. And just had to hard restart the mac because it completely locked up my keyboard from logging in the normal way (keyboard worked but input from key press to screen was around 30-40 secs per key). Hopefully this is just some new version bugs that will get ironed out as I love the idea of this app.

@adammydesign Have you tried resetting the Bluetooth cache? Otherwise contact the dev.

@t55 Yeah, had to do that to get it really working again and today it doesn't seem to like me at all or work. Very strange. I do love the idea and hope to get it working as it should across my devices.

Using stock photos with something that is not a mac probably is not the best idea for the mac app.

Tried and purchased yesterday! Finding a 1.5m distance is the best bet. 👍 What other features do you plan on including?

What about my iPhone battery life ? It is still a problem even with the iPhone 7 so I hope this does not consume too much battery ?

@tiekks Battery life is great. 1% for 4 minutes on screen and 47.5 hours in the background.

I can't run the Mac version of this app? It just wont run when I open the DMG file.

@rohit11 Pro mode costs $3.99. It's an In-App Purchase in the iOS app.

Looks cool but how about a 'even more secure mode' which is tied to your iPhone's TouchID - since TouchID is fast - it would basically be something like: you unlock your iPhone with TouchID and that would trigger the Mac unlocking... that way even if someone gets your phone near the computer, it wouldn't unlock your Mac.

@exlemor You can unlock your Mac with TouchID if you like. Or just about any other way you can think of: "Unlock your Mac with Apple Watch, double knock on iPhone, Touch ID, 3D Touch, notification center or unlock your Mac automatically whenever your iPhone is close to your Mac."
