This has been one of my favorite books on how human's interact with technology. Whilst already over a decade old, Andy Clark describes very well how even today's gadgets enable people to perform tasks & expand what it means to be "human".
A simple example he gives, is that if someone asks you "Do you have the time?" you say "Yes" and pull out your phone (and/or watch), acting as if your phone was part of your own consciousness, and all the facts accessible through it are a part of you. The same goes for finding directions, paying for your something with your Apple Watch, etc.
