This all started when I built a simple app to help my mom clean up her computer - she had over 350 files on her Desktop!
At Meta Search we believe that you should be able to find your files as easily as you can find stuff on the Internet.

We're still thinking a lot about this and would love feedback! When we leave beta, we'll be charging $10 a month for the Pro tier that allows unlimited cloud integrations and devices. We plan to support a lot more cloud accounts in the future. ☁️☁️☁️

@jasonrastrick I'd rather see pricing by number of search integrations - so maybe a low tier under 5 bucks that supports 4 or less, then 10 for more (some folks only have desktop, one webmail, maybe Evernote, etc - others have zillions) - a free tier would be nice to allow for adoption instead of a time trial

@passingnotes @jasonrastrick I agree -- I've already connected my main accounts and would definitely drop off if you start charging after beta. I think you should make it free for under 4 accounts (equiv. to Slack 10,000 searchable message count) and then charge after that

@jasonrastrick another take could be basing it on number of files, or total file size volume etc - then maybe people would include or exclude images, music and things on local drives that don't make sense for their use cases - or pay to index everything
