People need human support & accountability to make difficult behavior changes like better exercise & nutrition. But personal trainers are just too expensive! Kickoff combines an app & SMS to provide daily training from a certified trainer for $3 a day.
I've been using Kudos for my personal training for a few months and so far the experience has been really good.
Previously, I tried ClassPass, and many other workout apps (such as Freeletics etc). But there was never a service that can meet my personal needs perfectly. Also, trainers keep adjusting the workout plans based on my feedbacks. For example, we decide to do jogging instead of rowing because my hip hurt after sitting too long. Most importantly, the feeling of someone instead of some app notification to remind you to work out definitely makes myself more accountable to go to the gym on a regular basis.
I would recommend Kudos to my friends who don't want to spend too much money on personal training (in person training costs about ~$600 in SF a month), but still want the personal fitness plan and experience. It's a game changer for me and I never regret it.Pros:

Kudos has completely changed my relationship with exercise. I’ve always been able to come up with a somewhat legitimate excuse not to work out (trainers are too expensive, classes are too expensive, I have no idea what to do when I get to the gym...etc.) Kudos has solved all of those issues for me. My trainer has taken time to get to know me, my schedule, and my goals, and crafts weekly workouts for me that are getting me to where I want to be on a daily basis. Health is so important, so I‘m so thankful Kudos has made it affordable. I can’t say enough about it!Pros:

I was tired of feeling like I just couldn't get to the gym, eat right, or get to my fitness goals. I just couldn't do it. Things would always come up, work was hard, life was stressful. And no amount of inspirational memes was working for me. Kudos has changed that. No joke. I do not review random stuff. I am writing this review for people like me who may just be tired of feeling like their fitness goals just sort of keep slipping away. I have gone from 185 lbs to 168, and sure that has taken a year, but you know what? I would NOT have gotten there without Kudos. The idea of, scheduling requirements, and cost of group fitness or personal training just isn't for me. And when I finally accepted that, I realized that something like Kudos could work for me. And it has. It's really cheap too, when you consider how much I spend on coffee alone. I've had a few friends and folks I love sign up recently and it makes me happy to think that they're going to be getting the kind of results I've gotten for myself. I love me my Kudos. I've been using Kudos for three months and love it. I've essentially outsourced workout related concerns to the product, and am healthier for it. It holds me accountable and gives me the info I need to be healthy. My current workout regimen is likely the most balanced and healthy it's ever been — good mix of cardio and weights.
In the past, I've avoided weightlifting / core workouts since I never really knew what workouts I should be doing. Now, going to the gym is a breeze with the app. I just click the link and follow the workout.Pros:

I was in the the hunt for an online coach/trainer that could help me make some changes to my gym workouts. I came across kudos in my search and decided to try them out. I had a phone conversation with my coach Janelle and she laid everything out for me and how the program works. Janelle holds me accountable which is what I need. Her workouts are challenging and are never boring. She always keeps me on my toes and pushing myself. She sends me a weekly spreadsheet of what I will be doing each day for the next week on Fridays and then sends me a link the day before of my actually workout. The workout links even contain visuals of the actually exercises which I find to be helpful. I checkin with her daily. I have seen good results in just a month. Looking forward to more progress.Pros:

I've been using Kudos for six months and highly recommend it. I've knocked minutes off my running pace and am stronger than I've ever been. The workouts are tailored to my goals, schedule, and equipment access (I don't have a gym membership). I get a great variety of cardio and strength training focusing on different areas, and continue to challenge myself. I had no idea how much I'd enjoy dumbbell workouts before since I never really knew what to do!Pros:

I've been using Kudos for a number of months now and it's really helped change my outlook on exercise. My trainer is knowledgeable and encouraging, but not in an annoying way! The guidance makes me want to work out more. And for those times when I don't, the motivation helps get me there. Kudos is impressively specific in that you can talk through your goals, your preferred workout activities and your ever-changing schedule. You are held accountable on a daily basis through check-ins, the ability to ask questions and providing daily results. The workouts were varied and included excellent video demos. The feedback was always framed in a positive way. I improved the most with my running, as I was challenged to go faster than I would have on my own.Pros:

I've used Kudos for the past six months, and in that time I've gone from a casual user to a strong promoter. Kudos was the first technology product that really got me into the gym and pounding the pavement.
I was skeptical that the product would continue to provide results after the initial "honeymoon" phase but it continues to be rock solid and transitioned me from being road race focused (Kudos trained me from half marathon to marathon) into a mostly gym/lifting focused athlete.
Would recommend Kudos to anyone who wants a personal trainer. Kudos obliterates the in-person personal trainer price point and beats them on scheduling because the app is "always on."Pros:

I have been using Kudos for close to a year and it has helped me to reach new levels of wellness. It has been the most consistent and effective program that I been a part of.
On a quantifiable level, I was able to drop 7% in my body fat percentage (23.8% to 17%), and loose 15 pounds. In conjunction, my blood pressure has also dropped to a healthy range (something that has been on watch pretty much my entire adult life).
What is particurlarly impressive to me is the fact that this was done while traveling for 3 months throughout Europe, and living in 3 different cities within the US over the past year.
Currently, I am the healthiest I have ever been, despite living, eating (like realllly eating), and adjusting to one of the busiest places in the world: NYC.

Kudos is awesome. I've used it for a while and it changed the way I approached fitness. I was always very active and in pretty good shape but never focused on in it much. Kudos motivated me to make fitness a priority. I've gotten better at my sports, gained muscle, and lost body fat. Going to the gym and exercising formally was always intimidating because I didn't know where to start. Kudos solved this and kept me motived to keep it up. Nutrition habit changes could be more robust feature
They've done a great job with Kudos--I think I've gotten a lot of value for it, especially for the price! One of the biggest barriers when I first started working out was feeling embarrassed at the gym; I didn't know what weights to use or what exercises to do. The learning curve for figuring out the universe of exercises that could be done, how to calculate the number of sets or reps and at what appropriate weights to use seemed like such a daunting task.
Kudos has simplified that experience so much for me; when I show up at the gym each day, I know exactly what workout I have planned at which reps and which weights. I can see how many reps and weights I did last time to set the bar higher for myself. Each of the exercises comes with a gif of a trainer doing the exercise, so I know what it's supposed to look like. I feel so much more confident in a gym now!
The accountability aspect is definitely key to the product's success too--I like how there's a human being texting me every day I'm supposed to work out and answering any questions I run into while at the gym.
Finally, I like the holistic view on healthy living: Kudos does its part to address nutrition, sleep, water intake, etc. Overall would definitely recommend to anyone remotely interested in improving their fitness!Pros:
